Santiago de Compostela is the capital of Galicia and headquarters of its Autonomous Government. It is a small city: 90,000 inhabitants and 45 minutes walking between its ends. It is also quiet and cozy. A place that every year millions of people come from all over the world, many of them travel the Camino de Santiago. Its Historical Center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Speaking of the capital of Galicia it is very important to mention the Way, a thousand-year pilgrimage route that emerged in the ninth century and that since then joined this place with the rest of Europe. Every year thousands and thousands of pilgrims take this route by themselves, on foot, by bicycle or even on horseback, to experience this adventure and spirituality, and whose final goal is the Cathedral of Santiago, one of the holy cities of Christianity It is without a doubt, an unforgettable and different trip through Spain.

Santiago is a cultural destination not only because of its monumental heritage, but also its impressive activity throughout the year: music, lectures, theater, cinema, concerts, exhibitions, festivals ... It has a cultural and leisure offer that lasts all the year, with annual programming in the Auditorium of Galicia, in theaters, in museums and in the streets and squares of the city. The origins of the city date back to the 10th century. It is a beautiful city and of great historical and artistic value. Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as the Road that leads to it, and with one of the largest and best preserved historical centers in Spain. It is surrounded by an extensive set of parks and green areas easily accessible and very well integrated into the city. Santiago has many parks and gardens.

Double or single rooms, exterior, equipped with desk and heating. They have a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. Cleaning service in common areas (bathrooms, kitchen, living room ...) once a week. Students must clean their own rooms. Includes sheets and towels. Between 4 and 6 people per floor.

The residences are large (from 35 to 150 students) and there are mainly students from universities of Spain. We can not guarantee the availability of rooms throughout the year, but we will always do our best to find the place for you.
You can choose between double or single room and between half board (breakfast and dinner) or full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). There are also rooms with private bathrooms, which you can choose depending on their availability.

The international airport of Santiago de Compostela is 9 km from the city center and has regular flights to major European cities such as London, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, Seville, Dublin, Rome, Frankfurt, Milan or Bilbao. It is located just 10 kilometers from the city center, in Lavacolla. From the airport you can get to Santiago by taxi, with an approximate price of € 21. You can also arrive by bus, whose journey to the historic center costs € 3.
By bus it communicates with cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville or Bilbao, and with other European countries such as Portugal, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium or Switzerland. The bus station is also very close to the historic center.
The railway lines are another good option to comfortably access Santiago. There are daily trains that connect the city with Madrid, San Sebastián, Hendaye and Barcelona. Through a single transshipment, you can also access Barcelona, Bilbao, Portugal and Paris daily and almost all important national destinations. In addition, you can visit Santiago de Compostela through the Transcantábrico tourist train. It is a panoramic train that runs through the north and northwest of Spain, the Green Spain, from San Sebastian, in the Basque Country, to Santiago de Compostela.
