Situated in a quiet and pedestrianised area of the city, the German school in Hamburg was founded in 1952 and has more than 60 years of experience, making it one of the biggest and highest quality schools in Germany. Its prestigious location in the centre of Hamburg, in the old area of "Colonnaden", inspires all of our students and gives them a perfect atmosphere to live and learn.
The majority of the courses are known by the Superior Ministery of Education in Hamburg and by the Ministery of Education of Sweden. The quality of the school and its level of teaching is certified by the "International Association of Language Centres" (IALC). Also, the school is a member of the Assocation of Private Schools in Germany.
It has 70 classrooms and the teaching of German for international students is the speciality in the school. The residence is in the same building as the school.

Hamburg is situated in the North of Germany, it is a port city that offers numerous tourist attractions, amongst those that stand out are its ancient port, and the peculiar lake in the middle of the city. Hamburg has more than 40 theatres, 60 museums and 100 music and club establishments. Its tourists make the most out of visiting the numerous concerts, expositions, theatres, cinemas, museums and other cultural places in the city.
Hamburg offers numerous attractions for visitors. The lake in the city centre is surrounded by three streets with beautiful buildings, amongst them are the most traditional hotels, and from them you can see many towers of the Hamburg churches, covered in copper. A short distance away, you will find the town hall, a Nordic style building, also with copper roofs. The lake, biggest in size, is surrounded by houses with gardens.
From Hamburg harbour you can go on many trips to numerous canals, on the sides of the old warehouses. These buildings are being rehabilitated and equipped for housing and other uses. Hamburg also has a botanical garden designed as a park, where you can spend many hours admiring its greenery.
Near the port, you can find the marine neighbourhood of Hamburg, where the clubs and bars are. This neighbourhood was for a long time the red area of Hamburg, but in the last few decades it has changed to being the place of students, workers and businesses. A neighbourhood well known in Hamburg is the Sternschanze, in the city centre - a very alternative area.
