Less than an hour from London, this famous 800 year old city combines tranquil beauty of the University with an animated centre that offers a great variety of shops, pubs, and first class restaurants. History breathes here in every corner, and there are always charming places to discover; the fame is largely due to the university that takes the same name.
But Cambridge is not just the University; it has many jewels of English architecture: All Saints Church is one of the best conserved examples of the Gothic style in the whole country, and Cambridge University Press Bookshop is the oldest bookshop in England (books have been sold here since 1581).
Also, Cambridge is a city full of amazing parks and green areas where you can relax and stroll. There is also a rich art culture, which includes an infinite amount of theatres, concert halls and expositions.
